Southwark featured prominently in the lives and work of the three giants of English literature – Chaucer, Shakespeare and Dickens – and has been the home and inspiration for many other literary figures too. On 5 September, TNRA is organising a walk around the many local sites associated with these novelists, dramatists and poets led by resident writer John Constable.
Meet from 7.15 pm for a 7.30 pm departure at the north east corner of Trinity Church Square by the phone box. The walk will last for around 90 minutes, ending up in one of our local hostelries for a pint or two. There is no charge for joining the walk and no reservations are required. Just turn up!
