Open Garden Squares Weekend 2010

On 13 June 2010 the weather was kind

and gazebos went up in the squares

Visitors arrived on foot. by car and by bike

Beer from the Royal Oak was popular

Patrick's pork baps were much enjoyed by everyone

Penny ran a garden stall with many plants and much advice

Dorothy's bric-a-brac stall was busy and profitable

Jeremy and Helen sold records, books and clothes for charity

Georgia, Isobel and Alex encouraged customers ...

with an imaginative cake song and dance, which they performed many times

So visitors flocked to buy their cakes

and biscuits and meringues donated by Lila

Helen gratefully accepted TNRA subscriptions and sold greetings cards

In Merrick Square, Pimm's was served to the sound of the Dixie Ticklers ...

... who played all afternoon

There were lots of people and stalls ...

... and Rosie did a good trade in clothes
