The calm before the storm...

Bread, Tuscan Extra Virgin Olive Oil & Balsamic Vinegar for dipping was provided as "blotting paper"

 

As usual, we had a raffle with the entrance ticket being the raffle ticket. This time the prize was a bottle of Tarlant Brut Prestige Vintage Rose Champagne 1996. Tarlant are a family Champagne house based in Oeuilly in the Marne Valley.

 

Peter from Waterloo Wines provided an excellent selection of white

 

and red wines for us to taste

 

Peter introduced each wine.

 

This was the biggest TNRA Wine Club yet - with 56 tickets being sold

 

People soon started to make new friends

 

or catch up with old ones

 

Peter roamed the tables elaborating on the wines

 

By 9pm we'd moved onto the red wine
