About TNRA

Our mission

We are a residents' organisation totally independent of our landlord, Trinity House, and their managing agents. We are run by a voluntary committee which aims to:

  • represent the interests of our members with Trinity House, their managing agents, Southwark Council, the police and others;

  • propose and encourage initiatives to maintain and improve the buildings, the gardens, the public spaces and the built environment throughout the estate;

  • foster a strong sense of community through the organisation of regular social events and the provision of information and advice through monthly e-Letters, bi-annual Newsletters and our Facebook group.

Who we represent

We act on behalf of residents of Trinity Village (more formally known as the Newington Trust Estate) who are members of TNRA. These residents are a mixture of assured shorthold tenants, assured or protected tenants, long leaseholders and freeholders. Take a look at our membership page to see who can become a member and how to join.

The committee

Up to fifteen members are elected in April each year to serve on the committee. They meet monthly to discuss current issues, decide how best to pursue and resolve them, plan and organise social events, and ensure that members are kept properly informed of all actions taken on their behalf.

Learn more about the current committee members here.

We welcome the involvement of members in all of our activities by either standing for election to the Committee, providing ad-hoc advice as consultants or volunteering to help us organise and run events. If you would like to contribute, please contact us at info@tnra.net when we can arrange to have a chat with you.

We are especially interested in the involvement of those from under-represented backgrounds.

Our history and achievements

The Trinity Newington Residents' Association (TNRA) was formed in 1976 by and for the residents of the Newington Trust Estate (latterly rebranded as Trinity Village). Since then we have worked to improve life and living conditions for our members in numerous ways, achieving a notable number of successes all along the way.
