Filming on the estate

The estate, particularly Trinity Church Square, has been used as a location for shooting TV advertisements films and television productions for many years. See below pictures of the first filming of 'Lillie' in 1979 and many others since.

When filming is requested, location managers and Southwark Council liaise with Ali Walker for TNRA to ensure that the project is not too disruptive for residents. The council will not give permission if TNRA does not agree. Film companies make a donation to TNRA for the general inconvenience.

If you have any specific problems with any filming, please contact the location manager (their number is always on the letters given out to residents before filming); or Southwark Council's film office on either 07919 002115 (24 hours) or 020 7620 0391; or Ali Walker (for TNRA) at filming@tnra.net.
